FAQ

Are the inflatable bouncers safe?

Absolutely! As long as all the rules outlined on the operating procedures page of your rental contract are followed, and the unit is supervised at all times, they are very safe.

How much space do I need for an inflatable house?

An additional 3 - 5 feet of unobstructed perimeter around each side of the inflatable house, this is the bare minimum. Thus a 15 x 15 bouncer requires a 21 x 21 min. sq. foot space to be placed. In addition, low hanging branches are also an obstacle that must be removed.

What are my responsibilities as the renter of the bounce house?

A responsible adult must be assigned to supervise the children while the unit is in use. The adult must know all the safety rules and also be the enforcer of these rules. The renter is responsible for the safety of the children and the care of the equipment.

How far in advance should I reserve my inflatable castle?

Jiant Jumpers processes all reservation requests on a first come first serve basis. It is our recommendation that if you want a specific inflatable castle that you make your reservation as soon as you have a party date scheduled. Receipt of a quote does NOT guarantee equipment availability. Reservations will need to be confirmed before they are held.

What is the rental period?

Our equipment is rented by the event. Jiant Jumpers only guarantees your equipment rental for the day that you have requested; indicated by the start and end time of your event. If you require a specific delivery or pickup time you MUST state this when placing your reservation.

Event Confirmation?

Once you have booked the unit and received your confirmation e-mail we will not contact you until the day before your event. We will confirm drop off time and method of payment. All reservations require confirmation and coordination for delivery. If you are unavailable at the time of call, we will leave a message. If we cannot reach you and/or you do not call back before the day of your event, we cannot guarantee delivery. If you have any questions or concerns give us a call as we want you to ensure a successful party.

What are the delivery times?

Backyard parties are delivered within a 3 hour delivery window generally between 8am and 11 am and picked up the same afternoon or evening. We like to start set up at least one hour before the start of the event, we strive to have equipment rentals set up 30 minutes before the start of your event. Our Drivers have several locations on their delivery route, it's extremely important that the contact person responsible for the event to be on time to meet the driver for safety and set up instructions.

What is required to set the bouncer up?

Our Drivers do all the heavy lifting; you just show us where to set up. It is the customer's responsibility to measure in advance and ensure there is adequate space and provide a flat clean area and must be free of rocks, sticks, branches, rough debris and animal waste. If you have an in ground sprinkler system, please make sure the timer is not set to go on and you have clearly marked any lines so we do not damage them. The bouncers all require a 110 V outlet.

If the Driver is unable to set up for reasons above or if unsafe conditions exist, the Customer will be charged a $100 fee. We only set bouncers up on a flat surface. Inflatable’s can ONLY be operated safely if they are secured and anchored properly. We bring stakes or sandbags depending on where the unit will be set up. If you make changes, please let us know (especially from grass to cement) to ensure our Drivers will have the proper equipment. Last minute changes could result in cancellation ($100 charge) or MAJOR set up delays.

ATTENTION: Drivers can NOT go up and down stairs and/or hills, etc. Set up location must be easily accessible from the delivery truck.

What is the payment policy?

It's critical that the contact person have payment ready for the driver at time of delivery. Drivers are required to collect final payment at time of set up. NO set up of equipment will take place until payment is made in full. Failure to make payment could result in delays and/or event cancellation fees.

Is adult supervision required?

Designated attendant(s) must be present at the time of delivery. Safety briefings are ALWAYS given after set up at ALL events; we require a signature stating you have received and understand all operating and safety instructions. Accidents on equipment generally result from 1) too many participants or mixing age groups on a unit 2) flips and roughhousing, 3) unit not kept secured. Attendants should monitor number and age of participants and ensure they're following rules and acting responsibility. Inflatable stake/anchor weights should also be checked periodically to ensure they are in place.

What happens if the unit is damaged?

Customer is responsible for all damages to unit and any cleaning charges due to misuse (food, gum, rocks, sand, grass, dirt etc). Someone should be with the unit until time of pick up to avoid any problems. A minimum damage fee of $1,500 will be charged for any damage to the unit (could be higher depending on the damage). If any silly string is found on the unit a minimum $1500 Fee will be charged. Silly string causes irreversible damage to any inflatable.

What happens if the party ends early?

If your event shuts down early before the scheduled pickup time, please contact us immediately so that we may make every attempt to arrange for an earlier pickup. However, there is no guarantee that a Driver will be available last minute to do an earlier pickup and you may need to wait until your scheduled pickup time. The customer is responsible for equipment from the time of delivery until it is picked up, never leave the inflated unit unattended at any time. If the equipment will be unattended just unplug and deflate.

Rainy/Cold/Windy Days?

We make every effort to set up for each and every rental reservation; however the safety of your children is our top priority. Jiant Jumpers reserves the right to make the final decision to cancel a rental due to inclement weather defined as: 20 kmhr+ SUSTAINED winds (with higher gusts), 40% or higher chance of rain, and/or temperatures below 10°C. If this is the case, we will contact you the day prior or the morning of your event to discuss options. We cannot set up in high winds or if it is actively raining, due to increased chance of injury or electrocution. Very few days are complete rain outs.

WARNING: INFLATABLE UNITS MUST NEVER BE USED WHEN WET INSIDE (except for waterslides) and/or WHEN WINDS ARE 20km OR MORE. Inflatable’s become very slippery and dangerous when wet. In these situations the inflatable unit MUST be evacuated and deflated until the winds die down and/or the rain stops. Once the storm passes re-inflate the unit and dry off the inside before using the unit again.

What is the weather cancellation policy?

Inclement Weather cancellations do NOT incur a fee; HOWEVER the customer must call to cancel and it may ONLY be done ON THE EVENT DATE event and must be BEFORE the driver arrives. We do not accept weather cancellations for cold cloudy days with 40% or less chance of scattered showers unless it's below 10°C or actively raining in your area 2 hours before your rental period.

What is the refund policy?

During uncertain weather conditions, if Customer agrees to keep the unit for the term of the rental agreement and it begins to rain and storm AFTER unit is DELIVERED and SET UP, there will be NO refunds. There will also be No refunds if we have to remove a rental piece or shut down an event early in case of unsafe conditions, including but not limited to Inclement Weather.
